Productions

GSA Students begin public performances at the end of their second year of training and although the third and final year is completely production based, classes in acting singing and dance continue.
Our productions take place in our own theatre The Bellairs Playhouse, the Electric Theatre, The Mill Studio and Guildford's nationally recognised major touring venue, the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. During the third year students have the opportunity of working with professional companies and becoming acquainted and known to professional directors who regularly work at GSA and are also given the chance to audition for the professional pantomime at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.
A showcase of work by graduating students is presented to agents, managers and casting directors in a West End theatre. There are many opportunities for students to work professionally and to take part in performances that are not within the normal production schedule, for example; The Bill, roleplay exercises for the police and NHS doctors.
The GSA Singers perform locally and nationally with a repertoire of material from musicals. Recent venues include Rock and Roll Ball of the Year, The Hiss and Boo Company productions featuring Danny La Rue and Roy Hudd, and Ruthie Henshall in Concert.
