Acting Skills

Acting Skills, will involve taught classes in Text Strategies, Improvisation, Physical Action, Character Building, Stagecraft and Musical Theatre Styles. You will be exposed to a number of different texts and genres and will work individually, in small groups and as part of a larger ensemble.
By the end of the course you should be able to:
develop a structured and effective personal rehearsal process demonstrate the ability to interpret text truthfully “as if” you are the character work without inhibition or care for self-image develop a character based upon evidence given in the text of a play, screenplay or musical develop a confident and flexible performance technique demonstrate a strong sensibility of the principles of ensemble practice
