From the moment you start at GSA to the moment you graduate will the most challenging time in your life. Training for the profession is as tough as training to compete in the Olympics. We have to prepare you for the competition you will meet once you have graduated. Your course is designed to get the best out of you and to encourage you to be versatile in your skills. We concentrate on training the whole person. Our job is to improve your strengths and tackle your weaknesses with you.
Our overall aim is to help you become versatile either as an actor who, can sing and dance or as a stage manager or technician who can work on musicals or straight plays or even in television and radio; all your classes connect to that aim. For performers, Acting is the core to all that we do and the idea behind your training is that the techniques you learn mean that you can act through singing and dancing as well as through scripts for the stage, television, film or radio. For Professional Production Skills courses your work in the theatre in a variety of settings forms the base for all your work and specialisms developing from a knowledge and understanding of the whole process.
