- GSA students will be performing at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Orpheus the Mythical. Written by Richard Stilgoe, Orpheus the Mythical enjoyed a sell out performance last year at the Royal Opera House and is being brought to a wider audience this year with 6 performances from the 20th – 24th July. The shows will feature many of the original cast alongside students from Guildford School of Acting, as well as some star studded special guest appearances ( www.orpheus.org.uk/events/mythical.html for details) and a royal gala on the Wednesday 21st July, attended by HRH Earl of Wessex.

- Current GSA MAMT & MAPOVAS Cohort plus 2 M3's are performing Bernstein's 'MASS' at the Royal Festival Hall, London's Southbank on 10th & 11th July, under the Directorship of Jude Kelly, the baton of Marin Alsop (Principal Conductor - Baltimore Symphony Orchestra) in a collaboration between Mary King and GSA.

- Kevin Kiely [2009] plays Dara, Three Days in Dublin a feature film starring Ray Winstone and Heather Graham. Filming from September in Dublin and scheduled for general release Spring 2010. Kevin is also Artistic Director of Isleboro Theatre Company.

- Congratulations to Tom Chambers [1999] who won the final of Strictly Come Dancing BBC1 on Saturday 20th December. Tom was a major contender throughout in this high profile competition. Tom who graduated from GSA in 1999 and who plays Sam Strachan in Holby City was one of the most popular performers in the Saturday night competition. GSA would also like to congratulate Tom and his wife Clare on their marriage on Sunday 19th October 2008.
